ADAPTOR PRODUCTS
FireX® provides installers with several adaptor products to aid in the replacement and installation of new FireX smoke, carbon monoxide, and combination alarms. These products are designed with the installer in mind and are cost-efficient tools to help reduce time and labor during installation.
494 Wiring Adaptors - NEW
- Adapts existing wiring harnesses to new Firex alarms
- Ideal for retrofit applications in replacing and upgrading alarms.
- Saves wiring time for a quick, cost-efficient alarm replacement.
- Eliminates need to rewire existing installed harnesses.
- Simple to use - just snap into place.
New to the product line are Items 494-F, 494-B and 494-K. The 494 adaptor can be used with existing Kidde®, BRK Electronics®, or legacy FireX alarm wiring harnesses.

495 Safety Alarm Adaptor Trim Plate
- Ideal for retrofit applications
- Conceals oversize openings or wall damage around junction boxes
The 495 safety alarm adaptor trim plate mounts to ceilings or walls to retrofit smoke, carbon monoxide, and heat alarm devices to cover large openings or unsightly paint rings left when replacing older or larger safety alarms. The trim plate is textured to match FireX smoke alarms.
