- Meet the growing demand for smoke alarms and notification for the hearing impaired
- Strobe exceeds UL standard 1971 “Signaling Devices for the Hearing Impaired” and ADA (American Disabilities Act) requirements and is intended to provide a visible notification signal for the purpose of life safety and property protection
- Separate strobe allows for the remote placement of the light for maximum effectiveness
- Contains all of the components necessary to install a smoke alarm signaling device ideally suited to the needs of the hearing impaired
242 Hearing Impaired Kit (US)
Includes:
- 41216 120V AC Smoke Alarm
- 499 Relay Module – responds to smoke alarm
- 240 strobe light has FIRE lettering with UL 1971 Listing
- Wiring instruction sheet
243 Hearing Impaired Kit (Canada)
Includes:
- 406C 120V AC Smoke Alarm
- 499C Relay Module – responds to smoke alarm
- 240 strobe light has FIRE lettering with UL 1971 Listing
- Wiring instruction sheet
252 Hearing Impaired Kit (US & Canada)
Includes:
- 501 Multi-function Relay Module – responds to smoke alarms, CO alarms, or both
- 240B strobe light - blank with NO FIRE lettering, UL Listed
- Wiring instruction sheet
Up to five (5) additional FireX 240 or 240B strobes can be operated in addition to the strobe that comes with the 252 kit.
If multiple signaling devices are required for different areas of an installation, simply add additional FireX 240 or 240B strobes.
